How is everyone?! ;)

I’d be a liar if I tried to act like I had an answer or solution to every question or message I get, and this is one of them. What I absolutely hate doing is elevating myself above people to make them think that I am on some higher level of Christianity. Instead, I think it is much more helpful and beneficial to show that I can relate with the messages I receive, so I want to tell you a story.
Immediately before Christ fully took hold of my heart and made it new, I wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. Growing up, I never really “followed” Christ, but I never doubted him either, but in those months leading up to my surrender, I honestly wanted nothing to do with him and felt like Christianity was a joke. I didn’t want to be a Christian, and really just didn’t even acknowledge God or his existence. It seemed in those months, however, that God was breaking me down, not to administer a punishment of sorts, but to help me to realize the depths of my depravity and my helplessness with out him, therefore leaving my only option as full surrender to him and his grace. God changed my heart, and I take absolutely no glory for that decision. I think that is something we tend to miss, by claiming that we made the decision to follow Christ, we are really just taking the glory away from him for that decision. In reality, Christ pursued us, changed out hearts, and has now empowered us to follow him. We give all of the glory to Him.
I don’t have any magic words that will change your decision or your opinion, but I can say this, God is an amazing, steadfast Father. You are never too far from his hand. My gut tells me that you aren’t completely ready to give up on Christ, simply because you took the time to write this. God looks after his children, and you are absolutely one of his children. We can’t imagine the steadfast love that he has for each and every one of us. I would pray that God does a new work in your heart so that Christ may live through you. I say this not just so you can boast, or we can tally up one more team member for Christianity, but because I know the life Christ has for you is lightyears better than the life you have for yourself, I am a living testament to that. You are not alone, God is with you, and through his son, you are forgiven, and enabled to live a life of light. Don’t for a second think that it is too late to come back home. Jesus always has a place for you, and he will yearns for the day you return to him. I am praying for you, and I know God will have his hand on you and your journey.
